About The Position

This part-time W-2 veterinarian role allows you to work 1-3 days per week with a guaranteed salary and a schedule you control. A dedicated scheduling coordinator builds your schedule in advance, offering predictability for your life outside of work. IndeVets handles scheduling, logistics, and coordination, allowing you to focus on practicing medicine. You'll have a guaranteed salary as a foundation, with the option to earn more by picking up additional shifts, which can be paid out or converted into additional PTO. You will practice across various trusted hospital settings, gaining diverse clinical experience while maintaining the support and stability of a single employer. Opportunities to include surgery, dentistry, ER, or urgent care shifts are available when possible. This model eliminates the need to search for shifts or rebuild your schedule weekly, offering a structured and sustainable way to stay connected to your work.

Requirements

• DVM or VMD from an AVMA-accredited program (or equivalent)
• Active license (or ability to obtain)
• DEA + controlled substance license (as applicable)
• 1+ year of clinical experience in a small animal setting
• Confidence practicing independently
• Strong communication and client relationship skills

Nice To Haves

• GP, ER, or urgent care experience
• Internship training

Responsibilities

• Practice medicine independently with clinical autonomy focused on patient care.
• Provide veterinary services across a variety of trusted hospital settings.
• Focus on patient care rather than production numbers.

• Utilize a veterinary social worker for support when needed.
• Engage in ongoing CE and professional development opportunities.
