About The Position
A long-established companion animal hospital in Volusia County, Florida is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join its team. The practice provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care while maintaining a strong focus on compassionate medicine, client education, and responsible pet ownership. For more than 80 years, the hospital has served its community while continuing to evolve its medicine and services. The hospital is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM, and closed Saturday and Sunday. There are no on-call duties or holiday shifts. A 2.5:1 staff-to-doctor ratio provides veterinarians with the team and resources needed to focus on patient care. Veterinarians provide a broad range of care, including preventive and wellness medicine, vaccinations, medical case management, surgical care, dentistry, laser surgery, and client education. The hospital emphasizes thorough, accessible veterinary care and developing long-term relationships with clients and their pets. Doctors are supported in their continued professional development, with opportunities for future practice ownership for veterinarians interested in that path.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an accredited institution
- Active Florida veterinary license
