About The Position

At Ellison Drive Animal Hospital in San Antonio, TX, we’ve built a culture where teamwork, learning, and laughter go hand in hand. We are excited to add an Associate Veterinarian to join our growing team. We offer a wide range of services to ensure we provide the highest quality of veterinary medicine to pets in our community. Our modern facility is equipped with: Heska digital radiology, mobile ultrasound unit, and a fixed dental radiology system, IDEXX system with ProCyte, Catalyst, and Urinalysis machines, Two Heska analyzers for urine and fecal testing, Spacious surgery suite with Bovie cautery and laser equipment, Isoflurane and Sevoflurane anesthesia machines.

Requirements

Compassionate, Team Player and Strong Communicator
Proficient in general medicine and surgery
Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an AVMA accredited university
Current DEA License or obtained upon hire
Active Veterinary State License
USDA Accreditation or obtained upon hire

Responsibilities

Develop a relationship with our clients and partner with them to deliver the highest quality patient care possible.
Treat each pet individually to minimize stress, anxiety or discomfort.
Stay up-to-date with innovative and emerging veterinary medications, procedures, treatments, protocols and equipment.
Collaborate and function as a team within the hospital.
Help to continue developing the support team.
Treat every client like family and each patient like their own pet.
