About The Position

B & A Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to provide companion-animal veterinary care in Boaz, Alabama. The hospital provides medical, surgical, and preventive care, along with boarding and grooming services. The role includes wellness visits, diagnostic workups, treatment, surgery, and follow-up care, supported by in-house diagnostics, ultrasound, and recently installed X-ray equipment. The veterinarian will work with technicians and support staff in a small-practice setting, communicate recommendations clearly to pet owners, and build continuity of care and lasting client relationships. The veterinarian should be comfortable managing cases independently, including being the sole veterinarian on site at times. Temporary housing is available during relocation while the veterinarian searches for a home. Saturdays are closed. Mentorship is available, and new graduates as well as experienced veterinarians are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

DVM or VMD from an accredited veterinary program.
Active Alabama veterinary license or eligibility to obtain one.
Strong communication skills.
Genuine love of animals and people.

Responsibilities

Provide medical, surgical, and preventive veterinary care to companion animals.
