About The Position

IndeVets is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. This role offers a part-time, W-2 employment model with a focus on veterinarian wellbeing and sustainable career paths. The position allows for control over your schedule, guaranteeing income while providing hands-on support and a community of peers. Veterinarians can choose to work 1-3 days per week, with a dedicated scheduling coordinator building the schedule in advance. The role involves practicing medicine across various trusted hospital settings, gaining diverse clinical experience. IndeVets emphasizes clinical autonomy, patient care over numbers, and provides support through medical leadership, mentorship, and a veterinary social worker. Opportunities for leadership, mentorship, and professional development are available, with a model designed to prevent burnout.

Requirements

• DVM or VMD from an AVMA-accredited program (or equivalent)
• Active license (or ability to obtain)
• DEA + controlled substance license (as applicable)
• 1+ year of clinical experience in a small animal setting
• Confidence practicing independently
• Strong communication and client relationship skills

Nice To Haves

• GP, ER, or urgent care experience
• Internship training

Responsibilities

• Practice veterinary medicine independently across a variety of trusted hospital settings.
• Focus on patient care and client relationships.
• Utilize clinical autonomy without production quotas or negative accrual.
• Collaborate with medical leadership and a community of fellow veterinarians.
• Potentially gain exposure to surgery, dentistry, ER, or urgent care shifts.
