About The Position

CityVet South Austin is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their collaborative, doctor-led team. The clinic, owned and led by Dr. Shannon VanDyke, offers a high-energy environment focused on collaborative care and a kind, comforting experience for patients and staff. This role provides true mentorship, a balanced schedule with rotating weekends, and the freedom to treat complex cases in a state-of-the-art facility. The position is designed for a full-time or part-time Associate DVM interested in general practice, with a strong emphasis on surgery and dentistry. The hospital is fully equipped to support advanced diagnostics and surgical care, featuring 5 exam rooms, a large treatment area, and a private surgical suite.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent.
  • Licensed to practice in this state or eligible for licensure.
  • A collaborative spirit and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
  • Interest in General Practice and/or Urgent Care medicine.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with surgery and dentistry.
  • Open to working a flexible schedule with rotating weekends.
  • Confident working with complex cases.
  • Thrives in a collaborative, creative, high-energy environment.

  • Experience with soft tissue surgery, emergency care, and holistic therapies like acupuncture.
