About The Position

Wolf River Veterinary Clinic is a small-animal veterinary practice in New London, Wisconsin, providing care for cats and dogs. The clinic offers wellness and sick appointments, dentistry, general and some advanced surgeries, and opportunities in surgery, dentistry, orthopedics, and chiropractic care. Its facility includes five exam rooms, dedicated surgical and dental suites, digital radiography, ultrasound, therapy laser, and in-house diagnostic equipment. The Associate Veterinarian will work with a collaborative, supportive team and experienced staff who provide mentorship and encourage professional development. The position is open to new graduates and experienced veterinarians. The clinic promotes work-life balance with a four-day work week, flexible scheduling, and no weekend or on-call responsibilities. Compensation is $120,000–$150,000 per year plus production; sign-on bonus and/or relocation assistance may be available.

Responsibilities

Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of diseases or injuries.
Operate diagnostic equipment, collect diagnostic samples, and interpret results.
Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
Provide counsel around pet end-of-life care.
Maintain patients’ medical records.
Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.
