About The Position

Suwannee Valley Veterinary Clinic is hiring an Associate Veterinarian in Chiefland, Florida. The clinic describes a collaborative culture with a variety of medical and surgical cases and support for veterinarians’ professional aspirations. The opportunity is open to all experience levels.

The medical team works in a 4,600-square-foot hospital with five exam rooms, a double surgery suite, a large treatment area, separate wards for feline, canine, and intensive care patients, and an in-house laboratory and pharmacy. The role involves managing a varying caseload of surgeries and appointments during the clinic’s open hours, while working with the clinical team and leadership and serving clients through a relationship-based approach.

Requirements

• DVM or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college, or successful completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program.
• Active license in good standing to practice in the state of employment, or the ability to obtain a license in that state.

Responsibilities

• Serve patients and clients with a relationship-based approach.
• Collaborate and engage with the clinical team and leadership.
• Grow relationships within the practice and the Chiefland community.
• Encourage support staff development through the internal LevelUp training program.
• Manage a varying caseload, including surgeries and appointments during the clinic’s open hours.
