About The Position

CityVet Thornton is seeking an experienced Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and experience in surgery and dentistry. While the clinic is known for its exotic services, they are open to a DVM who wishes to focus on small animal medicine. The clinic fosters a culture of teamwork, trust, and collaboration, offering a balanced caseload that allows for high-quality medicine and skill development. They are committed to personalized pet care, aligning treatment options with client goals. The team includes certified veterinary technicians and skilled veterinary assistants to support the DVM. This is a full-time position starting in January.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent.
• Licensed to practice in this state or eligible for licensure.
• A collaborative spirit and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
• Interest in General Practice and/or Urgent Care medicine.
• Experience with surgery and dentistry.
• Full-time availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical care to pets.
• Build lasting relationships with pet owners.
• Focus on general practice or urgent care services.
• Collaborate with a team of certified veterinary technicians and skilled veterinary assistants.
• Perform basic and advanced surgeries.
• Provide dental care, including digital dental radiographs.
• Utilize therapeutic laser treatments.
• Perform ultrasounds.
• Work with both small animal and exotic patients.
