They are seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join their 3-doctor team. The practice offers a blend of compassionate care with innovative medicine, including Class IV therapeutic laser treatments, stem cell therapy, dental radiography, surgery, and acupuncture. They treat dogs, cats, and exotic companions, supported by a skilled team and a loyal client base. The practice emphasizes team well-being by offering flexibility, growth, and support, including Unlimited Personal Time Away. The role comes with a total bonus package of up to $50,000, which is flexible and can be structured based on experience and individual priorities. The clinic is located in Lakeland, FL, a vibrant community known for its lakes and proximity to Tampa and Orlando.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
Active or eligible Florida veterinary license.
Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD licensure.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professional, positive, and collaborative demeanor with both staff and clients.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds independently and assist with larger patients or equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples; interpret results.
Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
Provide compassionate counsel around pet end-of-life care.
Maintain thorough and accurate medical records.
Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and all relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.
