About The Position

Whittier Dog & Cat Hospital is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian with 3–5 years of experience to join our long-standing and trusted practice in Whittier, CA. This is a great opportunity for an experienced DVM who’s ready to work with a diverse caseload, grow clinically, and collaborate with a high-performing team in a fully equipped, modern hospital. The hospital has been proudly serving the Whittier community for over 50 years and offers a diverse caseload including soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries, internal medicine, and exotics. The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostics, an in-house lab, digital radiology (including dental), ultrasound, lift tables, ICU oxygen therapy, and Doorstep CT access. The role involves collaboration with experienced professionals and partnership with a nearby sister hospital, Southeast Pet Hospital. The practice emphasizes teamwork, mentorship, and mutual respect to provide exceptional care.

Requirements

3–5+ years of clinical experience
Strong diagnostic skills
Strong surgical skills
Team player with excellent communication
Confidence in managing complex cases
Ability to work in fast-paced environments

Responsibilities

Perform soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries.
Manage internal medicine cases.
Treat exotic animals.
Utilize advanced diagnostics, in-house lab, digital radiology, and ultrasound.
Collaborate with experienced professionals and partner with Southeast Pet Hospital.
Participate in monthly staff meetings and shared case discussions.
