About The Position

Element is hiring Seasonal Associate Test Technicians for its Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) team at its Morgan Hill, California laboratory. The facility conducts regulatory and conformance testing for wireless device certification and network test services. Under direct supervision, the technician performs routine and non-routine testing assignments and helps ensure test results are timely and accurate. This opportunity is intended for someone interested in beginning a career in electrical or RF engineering testing and compliance.

The project is scheduled to run from November 2026 through March 2027. The stated salary range is $25.00–$27.50 per hour. The work is offered on either a day shift, 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., or a night shift, 4:00 p.m.–2:30 a.m.; overtime hours are expected.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering or a STEM field, a technical school certificate, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to learn quickly.
• Team-oriented and detail-oriented, with strong attention to detail and computer literacy.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Initiative and eagerness to learn.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to walk, stand, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to periodically lift more than 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform and analyze SAR/RF and RF exposure compliance testing and evaluations according to regulatory specifications.
• Compile and report test results using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Evaluate devices and determine applicable standards.
• Collaborate with a team and assist with developing and improving test methodologies, reporting, and coordination of tasks.
• Maintain laboratory test methods and test equipment.
