About The Position

Celanese is seeking an Associate Technician, Maintenance/Reliability Expert to ensure the maintenance plan is followed in accordance with four core principles: preventive maintenance; equipment repair within the technician’s capabilities, including root cause analysis; proactive attention to reliability issues; and completion of maintenance activities scheduled by the maintenance planner. This is a 12-hour night shift with rotating days. The position pays $35.62 per hour, plus a night-shift differential and eligibility for an annual bonus. Actual pay may vary based on experience, qualifications, and market factors.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Understanding of basic electrical and mechanical systems, with the ability to perform repairs.
Technical focus or at least 6 months of related experience in the general maintenance industry.
Troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) skills.
Knowledge of processes and equipment.
Ability to identify equipment anomalies.
Proficiency in using basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine rounds and actively monitor equipment to inspect for anomalies and identify emerging issues.
Independently perform maintenance in accordance with industry standards.
Identify required parts, supplies, and repair items.
Collaborate with the Planner/Scheduler to optimize preventive maintenance procedures.
Ensure compliance with 5S and housekeeping standards.
Perform maintenance tasks, make adjustments and repairs, and complete scheduled preventive maintenance.
Conduct C-level root cause analyses (RCAs) on equipment reliability failure modes.
Troubleshoot issues with other workgroups as necessary, such as the Core Maintenance Expert or Reliability SME.
Apply lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, turn equipment over to maintenance for repairs, and participate in return-to-service activities.
Deliver accurate, high-quality work notifications.
