Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field of study, plus one (1) year of experience supporting two of the following: Windows Server Administration, Storage Area Network Administration, Azure, PowerShell, Microsoft (MS) Active Directory Administration, MS SQL Server Administration, MS Internet Information Server, MS Intune/Configuration Manager, or File and Print Services, or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field of study, plus one (1) year experience supporting two of the following: Windows Server Administration, Storage Area Network Administration, Azure, PowerShell, Microsoft (MS) Active Directory Administration, MS SQL Server Administration, MS Internet Information Server, MS Intune/Configuration Manager, or File and Print Services, or Associate's degree in Computer Science or related field of study, plus two (2) years of experience supporting two of the following: Windows Server Administration, Storage Area Network Administration, Azure, PowerShell, Microsoft (MS) Active Directory Administration, MS SQL Server Administration, MS Internet Information Server, MS Intune/Configuration Manager, or File and Print Services, or High School diploma/GED plus three (3) years of experience supporting two of the following: Windows Server Administration, Storage Area Network Administration, Azure, PowerShell, Microsoft (MS) Active Directory Administration, MS SQL Server Administration, MS Internet Information Server, MS Intune/Configuration Manager, or File and Print Services required.
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Under supervision, responsible for supporting and monitoring the Windows Server operating system environment on both physical and virtual servers.
  • Responsible for requesting configuration specs within VRA for new virtual servers, reconfiguring existing servers within VRA, maintaining patch levels within the OS, as well as the installation, monitoring and maintenance of physical server hardware.
  • Responsible for working with IT application areas to evaluate new software and the software’s compatibility with the existing UAMS computing environment.
  • Provide tier 3 technical assistance to all levels of Information Technology, application support personnel, vendors, and non-IT UAMS entities that connect to the UAMS network.
  • Keeps up-to-date on emerging technologies that would benefit UAMS and compliment UAMS’ mission/goals.
  • Participates in a group 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year on-call rotation where each member of the group takes call for 1 week at a time.
