About The Position

Boeing Global Services is seeking an Associate Supply Chain & Logistics Management Specialist to join their team in Warner Robins, Georgia. This role involves managing high-value Aircraft on the Ground (AOG) MICAP shipments for the USAF Customer. The specialist will support and develop processes, strategies, and disciplines related to transportation and logistics services, and will be involved in the initiation, processing, and after-action requirements of AOG MICAP orders. This is a dual hybrid role supporting C17 AOG MICAP Teams' transportation risk mitigation and managing AOG MICAP customer orders. Daily duties include overseeing service provider performance and adherence to contracts, and building collaborative relationships with stakeholders, service providers, and business partners. The ideal candidate is goal-focused, team-oriented, and possesses strong leadership skills to drive performance and innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • Willingness to work variable shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • 1+ years of experience working in military logistics and/or working contracts with the U.S. Department of Defense.
  • 1+ years of experience in data entry.
  • 1+ years of experience working in military procedures, processes, and technical orders.
  • 1+ years of experience with Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

  • Support and facilitate internal process reviews and support services, including transportation service provider performance evaluations for the AOG MICAP team.
  • Respond to post-production customer supply inquiries and coordinate delivery problem resolution for the AOG MICAP team.
  • Facilitate solutions to complications arising in the Supply Chain & Global Distribution of aircraft parts and components.
  • Investigate and perform root cause analysis on complex logistics initiatives and recommend business solutions for transportation and logistics practices, processes, and procedures.
  • Perform order processing, data logging, order tracking, and finalization (closing) of customer requirements as part of the AOG MICAP team.
  • Develop logistics reports and presentations for business units, programs, and stakeholders.
  • Analyze material location and initiate redistribution actions for the AOG MICAP team.
  • Analyze carrier performance data for cycle time, cost, and business process review.
  • Develop and implement effective KPIs to achieve organizational objectives and targets.
  • Utilize data analytics tools, methods, and processes.
  • Use ERP/MRP supply chain related applications and supply chain databases.
  • Apply industry knowledge of transportation & logistics modes and service levels, including Import/Export requirements, Dangerous Goods regulations, and Customs Standards.
  • Determine the type, mode, and means carriers will use during the logistic/transportation cycle (e.g., ground vs. air, flatbed vs. covered trailer).
  • Engage in category management related to the transportation & logistics industry.
  • Focus on first-time quality, cost, and schedule, with a high attention to detail.
