About The Position

As an Associate Software Engineer on our team, you will design, build, and deploy high-performance microservices, automated pipelines, and cloud-native solutions in a fully remote environment. Working with a modern technology stack that includes Python, FastAPI, MongoDB, Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes, you will help deliver scalable systems that support complex healthcare workflows. In this role, you will also leverage enterprise-approved AI tools and platforms to automate engineering processes, streamline workflows, and build intelligent capabilities into enterprise-scale solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree
1 years of software development experience
1 years of experience building backend applications or microservices using Python
1 years of experience with RESTful API development using frameworks such as FastAPI
1 years of experience with version control and automated workflows using GitHub and GitHub Actions
1 years of experience containerizing applications using Docker
1+ years of experience working with relational or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
Experience with container orchestration and management using Kubernetes
Experience with event streaming or messaging architectures using Apache Kafka
Experience designing, building, and deploying cloud-native applications
Knowledge of responsible AI practices, prompt engineering, or integrating machine learning/AI models into production environments
Demonstrated experience utilizing AI tools or techniques to automate tasks, improve workflow efficiency, or build application features

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services and microservices using Python and FastAPI
Build event-driven architectures with Apache Kafka and manage data persistence using MongoDB
Containerize applications using Docker and deploy, maintain, and monitor workloads in Kubernetes environments
Establish, maintain, and optimize automated CI/CD workflows using GitHub and GitHub Actions
Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions and automation capabilities to address complex business challenges with an emphasis on responsible use of AI
Use enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline workflows, automate software engineering tasks, and drive continuous operational improvement
Evaluate emerging technical trends and AI capabilities to inform solution design and drive strategic innovation
Collaborate with cross-functional development teams, participate in code reviews, and contribute to software design and architecture discussions
