About The Position

The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Software Engineer to support the ADaPS organization in Huntsville, AL. ADaPS (an organization of over 100 software engineers) supports programs across the entire portfolio of Boeing products including Space Launch Systems (SLS), Satellite Efforts, and Advanced Missile Defense efforts including Patriot Advanced Capability (PAC3) and Integrated Fires Protection Capability 2nd Interceptor (IFPC – 2). ADaPS specializes in implementing rapid prototyping and development programs using small, adaptable agile teams.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree or higher
• 1+ years’ experience designing and developing software using Python, C/C++, C# and/or Java
• 1+ years’ experience with software development on Windows or Linux
• Experience with product development life cycle
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process
• Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 2+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ years of directly related work experience OR 10+ years of related, relevant experience
• Experience with JAVA and VBA
• 1+ years’ experience with TypeScript
• 1+ years of progressively responsible software development experience with modern software development approach for government programs
• Experience in software development for space systems and ground segments, including command and control, mission planning, and data processing
• Experience in the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, integration, and test
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines in GitLab to automate testing, builds, and deployment workflows using an Agile software development environment
• Experience with missile defense sensor algorithms or algorithms for digital signal processing
• Experience with sensor systems for complex conversion of analog and waveform data
• Experience with optical or electromagnetic (RF - radio frequency) sensing systems
• Experience with Artificial Intelligence Model (LLM, RAGs, NN. GenAI) Development

Responsibilities

• Assists with the development and fielding of flight software for seeker systems
• Assists with the design and development of test software for seeker software
• Assists with the development and integration of Weapons Open System Architecture Framework Domains into missile and weapons systems
• Assists with the development firmware and its integration with hardware/software
• Works in small agile teams composed of diverse engineering skills
• Use your talents to tackle complex problems on a variety of programs
• Develops technical products, plans, documentation, and briefings in support of program requirements
• Assists with review, analysis and translation of customer requirements into initial design of software products
• Supports development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software products
