Associate, Software Engineer

L3Harris•Palm Bay, FL

About The Position

Develop software for target applications, including embedded software for real-time control of advanced tactical radio equipment. Work with cross-functional engineering teams to develop and evaluate hardware/software interfaces, operational performance requirements, and overall system design. Support the software and firmware development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing, in an agile environment. Create software test procedures, programs, and documentation; use modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results; and participate in peer reviews to identify, track, and repair defects. The role applies computer science, engineering, mathematical analysis, digital signal processing, and communications systems concepts. DSP work includes time-domain and frequency-domain analysis, filter structures, and modulation and coding algorithms. The position uses a variety of programming languages and platforms, including C, C++, and VHDL, as well as other listed languages, embedded Linux, and real-time operating systems.
