The Corporate Information Services Department is seeking a dynamic and talented Associate Software Engineer. Working as a member of the Interface team with more experienced colleagues, the Associate Software Engineer supports the implementation, testing, documentation and support of enterprise-wide Integration processes using Cerner based application layer/technical tools. Works directly with the UHS Ambulatory Division in designing, developing, implementing and supporting integration solutions between the hospital EMRs and the Ambulatory systems. Works with customers to understand clinical workflow, gather interface (HL7) specifications and develop, test and implement Cerner interface solutions. Works to resolve issues or perform maintenance or enhancement tasks assigned by CORE/FSI team. Develops ETL applications using Cerner Open Engine, Cerner OPENLink, and Oracle SQL as needed. Provides technical support to the user community as needed. Meets deadlines and ensures continued progress toward assignment completion. Coordinates work assignments in order to meet deadlines.
