About The Position

BlackRock Corporation, Inc. is seeking an Associate, Software Engineer, Applications in San Francisco, CA. This role involves analyzing the client and investment management lifecycle, including client contracting and onboarding, portfolio management, trading, compliance, trade settlement, business operational workflows, and overall reporting platforms to design the best solutions. The position supports all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to production support. The engineer will create technical design documents and leverage in-house technologies for scalable solutions. This is a hybrid role requiring four days in the office and one day remote per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any) or a related field.
  • 36 months of experience in Job offered or in a computer-related occupation.
  • 24 months of experience involving Web development using web technologies including JSP, JavaScript, and Angular.
  • 24 months of experience involving Java, Multithreading, and Object Oriented programming.
  • 24 months of experience involving SQL databases including DB2 and SQL queries.
  • 24 months of experience involving Git, Azure Continuous Delivery and Integration tools, and Junit.
  • 24 months of experience involving application of finance fundamentals including the lifecycle of an Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) order.
  • 24 months of experience involving utilizing Agile methodology and sprints in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • 24 months of experience involving Linux.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze the client and investment management lifecycle, including client contracting and onboarding, portfolio management, trading, compliance, trade settlement, business operational workflows, and overall reporting platforms to design the best solutions.
  • Support all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, application design, system development, testing, implementation, and production support.
  • Create technical design documents to describe the planned solution and the upstream and downstream dependencies.
  • Leverage and learn core technologies designed in-house to scale solutions.
