About The Position

Skyryse is seeking an Associate Social Media Content Creator to join its Design team, a small, broad group covering design, brand, marketing, and product. The role helps manage Skyryse’s social media presence on LinkedIn, Instagram, X, and YouTube, as well as the copy, video, and photography that support those channels. It offers creative latitude and responsibility for content that is published. The work involves keeping track of activity across the company—including flight tests, prototype builds, and company milestones—and turning it into content for internal and public channels. The creator will develop creative ways to showcase Skyryse teams’ work and help build the company’s communication channels and public brand. The role reports to the Director of Design and works closely with Communications, Corporate Development, and the CEO. It is a full-time, onsite position based in El Segundo, California, with regular travel to Skyryse hangar locations in Southern California, including Camarillo and Hawthorne. Schedule flexibility is needed when flight tests or milestones occur outside core hours.

Requirements

  • 1–4 years of experience in social media, content creation, or a related field.
  • Experience running social media channels for a brand, organization, or yourself, with a track record of consistent content generation.
  • Fluency with LinkedIn, Instagram, X, and YouTube, and understanding of what performs natively on each platform.
  • Experience capturing and editing short-form video and photography for social platforms.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Lightroom.
  • Experience creating content in live, uncontrolled environments.
  • Strong writing skills for short-form copy, captions, and hooks.
  • Ability to travel regularly between the El Segundo headquarters and hangar locations in Camarillo and Hawthorne.
  • Schedule flexibility when flight tests or milestones fall outside core hours.
  • Self-motivation and ability to manage multiple parallel-path projects.

  • Experience with social analytics and scheduling tools.
  • Experience running a recurring content series or posting schedule.
  • Experience creating content in a technical, industrial, engineering, or aerospace environment.

  • Capture flight tests, prototype builds, installations, first flights, and company milestones, and turn them quickly into creative assets for internal and external audiences.

  • Track Engineering and Flight Test work, anticipate milestones worth covering, and proactively pitch and plan future content.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Flight Test, and site personnel to capture content safely within the constraints of live operational environments.
  • Track engagement across platforms and use it to inform future creative and content development.
  • Organize and archive content and assets, and maintain equipment used.
  • Work cross-functionally with other Skyryse teams to accomplish project goals.
