About The Position

RapDev LLC. seeks an Associate ServiceNow Developer in Boston, MA. RapDev builds the operational backbone for autonomous IT, helping over 1,000 enterprises run ServiceNow and Datadog better through trusted data, connected workflows, and AI that resolves incidents. On the ServiceNow side, RapDev specializes in modern ITOM, ITAM, AI, SPM, and DevOps implementations to engineer ServiceNow into a powerful AI-driven platform. On the Datadog side, their experienced team of SREs and DevOps engineers drive better observability, availability, and deployment velocity for organizations looking to drive measurable business impact through their Datadog environment.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Business Technology Management, or other closely related degrees.
  • 3 years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer.
  • Experience developing and customizing ServiceNow applications, including Scoped Applications, Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub.
  • Experience with ITSM process automation in ServiceNow, building workflows, client scripts, and UI policies to streamline request fulfillment and incident/change processes.
  • Experience with AngularJS for service portal development, customizing catalog items, widgets, and UI components to deliver user-friendly self-service portals.
  • Experience with JavaScript for client and server scripts, building client scripts, GlideAjax calls, and business rules to automate and enforce ITSM/HAM/SAM processes.
  • Experience with advanced debugging and troubleshooting, using browser development tools, Angular debugging, and ServiceNow Script Debugger to resolve catalog, CMDB, and workflow issues.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and configure ServiceNow applications, applying technical expertise to design and implement solutions that enhance platform functionality. This includes utilizing scripting skills to develop custom UI actions, business rules, client scripts, and server-side scripts to extend and optimize system capabilities.
  • Design, implement, and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems, using APIs and middleware to facilitate data exchange and ensure compatibility between systems, thereby enhancing data flow and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues with ServiceNow applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges, ensuring system stability, reliability, and timely resolution of issues.
  • Create detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, coding standards, and deployment procedures. Work to improve service delivery through the automation of routine tasks and streamlining of approval workflows using ServiceNow’s Workflow Editor, Flow Designer, and custom scripting.
  • Continuously test software performance to ensure functionality aligns with business requirements. Monitor and maintain computer systems to ensure they operate effectively and provide ongoing support for system updates and enhancements.
