About The Position

The Associate Service Technician/Installer reports to the Service Supervisor. This is a Full-Time In Office position. The Associate Service Technician/Installer is responsible for basic-level service, repair, and installation of foodservice equipment at a customer’s location. This opportunity offers an incentive plan, compensation paid from door to door and a tuition reimbursement program that can be used for certifications that may be needed to grow into a Service Technician and eventually a Senior Service Technician position. This entry-level position is designed for individuals with a willingness to learn, and a desire to develop a rewarding career in the food service and equipment industry.

Requirements

  • Ability to use field automation systems, (Tablets, cell phone, etc.)
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • 0 – 1 years of experience in a service-related role, (Plumbing, Automotive, Electrical) or equivalent military or practical experience.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.

Nice To Haves

  • EPA certification or coursework in a relevant field is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct installation, servicing, and repair of food service equipment
  • Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues reported by clients.
  • Learn and apply technical knowledge to resolve problems efficiently.
  • Run mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and test tasks
  • Survey safety devices and equipment on a regular basis
  • Manage and retain proper equipment, parts inventory, and tools on service vehicle while keeping items in a safe condition for the respective level of service
  • Inspect food service equipment for the purpose of ensuring safety
  • Request equipment, parts, and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensure that necessary tools are available to complete the necessary repair/installation
  • Identify necessary repairs and provide ongoing preventative maintenance
  • Interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Provide clear and concise explanations of technical issues and solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, including work performed, parts used, and resolutions applied.
  • Complete service reports and submit them in a timely manner.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members and departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Seek guidance from experienced technicians to enhance learning.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines during service activities.
  • Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
