Field Service Technician/Installer
About The Position
Simoniz USA is an industry-leading manufacturer of cleaning and protection products for auto dealerships, professional car washes, and providers of professional housekeeping and building maintenance services. Washing Equipment Technologies, WET, is a division of Simoniz USA that sells, installs, and services factory-authorized PDQ car wash equipment installations. This position will be servicing Harrisburg, PA and surrounding areas. Generally, begin your day from your home location and report to the distribution facility only as needed. Full online factory training program – technicians are trained on all aspects of the equipment, including installation, start-up, and ongoing maintenance.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- A minimum of 3 years of electrical experience
- Strong verbal, interpersonal, and customer relation skills
- Available to work overtime
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Complete required safety training, safely perform tasks, and follow safety policies
- Wear specified personal protective equipment as needed throughout the shift, which may include steel/composite toe work boots, safety glasses, and/or protective gloves
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with a diverse team.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English to follow written and verbal instructions/directions
Nice To Haves
- Technical school education preferred
- Car wash installation and service experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform quality installation and service on all vehicle-wash equipment and accessories, including troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues to provide personalized customer service.
- Develop and maintain rapport with our customer base and partner with the customer to make beneficial recommendations regarding the technical maintenance of their state-of-the-art equipment
- Ensures all information is entered into the company computer system per training requirements
- Daily travel in the service area is required
- Other duties as assigned
