About The Position

Evercore seeks to hire a Junior Associate or Senior Analyst for its Financial Institutions Group within our Advisory business to be based in Chicago, IL. Evercore's unique market position provides its junior bankers with the ability to work closely with senior bankers on differentiated and industry-transforming transactions in markets around the world. The small deal team structure provides junior bankers with an incomparable platform to learn investment banking while assuming very high levels of responsibility early in one’s career. As part of the team, the Associate / Senior Analyst will have the opportunity to work primarily on a range of M&A transactions as well as other strategic advisory assignments including: minority investments, special committee assignments, activism & raid defense, recapitalizations, balance sheet restructurings, and capital markets advisory, including debt and equity.

Requirements

  • Strong and demonstrated interest in investment banking
  • Solid quantitative and analytical skills
  • Ability to think broadly about a range of strategic issues confronting the firm’s clients
  • Knowledge of accounting, valuation, corporate finance, and business strategy is a pre-requisite
  • Be a rising Second Year MBA student from a top business school or a third year Analyst at another investment bank
  • Strong grasp of corporate finance, valuation, and financial accounting
  • Superior analytical skills and demonstrated excellence in academic coursework
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to articulate ideas
  • Outstanding communications skills, both written and oral
  • Great work ethic
  • Enthusiastic, outgoing, and achievement-oriented character
