About The Position

The Associate Senior AI Solutions Officer will lead the adoption, design, and delivery of Agentic AI and Autonomous AI solutions that address the World Bank Group’s corporate business needs. The role partners with business stakeholders, Enterprise AI teams, and technology teams to implement AI-enabled business processes, improve operational efficiency, and accelerate business transformation while complying with enterprise governance, security, and responsible AI requirements.

The position sits within the Corporate Digital Backbone unit of the WBG Corporate Solutions Department (ITSCO), which works to digitally transform corporate services and create a backbone for coordinating data, transactions, processes, and insights across the corporate portfolio. The role routinely leads complex projects, integrates the work of multidisciplinary professionals, contributes to strategy and policy formulation, analyzes systemic and complex issues, and provides guidance and coaching to junior staff. It requires comprehensive, in-depth expertise in a relevant specialization.

Requirements

• Master’s degree and at least 8 years of progressively responsible experience; or a bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of progressively responsible experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven experience managing global digital engagement platforms and solutions.
• Experience delivering AI, automation, workflow orchestration, or digital transformation solutions.
• Experience with enterprise integrations, APIs, workflow automation, and business process optimization.
• Strong stakeholder management and solution delivery capabilities.
• Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize effectively, act decisively, maintain momentum under pressure, resolve bottlenecks proactively, and deliver without sacrificing quality.
• Ability to champion new ways of working, constructively challenge the status quo, build support for change, and help teams navigate transitions.
• Ability to connect day-to-day decisions to strategic goals, engage stakeholders credibly, and apply sound judgment in light of organizational priorities and the broader operating environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams, disciplines, cultures, and institutional boundaries.
• Required language: English.

Nice To Haves

• Certifications in AI Ethics, Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate, Google Machine Learning Engineer, Google Generative AI Leader, SAFe DevOps, or SAFe for Architects are recommended.
• Experience working in fragile, conflict-affected, and violent (FCV) contexts is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI agents, MCP servers, APIs, knowledge solutions, and workflow orchestrations.
• Integrate AI capabilities into corporate applications and business processes.
• Develop technical blueprints and reusable solution patterns.

• Implement appropriate guardrails, monitoring, and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Lead complex projects and integrate the work of multidisciplinary professional staff.
• Contribute to strategy, analysis, and policy formulation; identify systemic issues and analyze complex issues.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on matters of strategic importance and support department objectives through external stakeholder interactions as needed.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and training to junior staff and serve as a subject matter expert.
