About The Position

The Associate Scientist will be responsible for collecting samples, preparing hair swatches, and performing technical procedures to measure product performance on hair using various lab equipment. This role involves analyzing data, performing statistical calculations, and drawing conclusions to substantiate claims. The scientist will also document work, write reports, maintain laboratory consumables, and assist in the research and development of new methods. Additionally, the role includes analyzing consumer insights and survey data, and maintaining internal documentation.

Requirements

• College degree in science related field or equivalent laboratory experience.
• Proficient MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and File Explorer
• Ability to learn and develop comfort with various instrumentation software.
• Careful adherence to established procedures and proposed experimental design.
• Detail oriented and manual dexterity when working with instruments and samples.
• Demonstrating integrity in performing tasks to produce repeatable data.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Documents work and writes reports on product evaluation in conformance with company policies and standards.
• Keeps laboratory consumables organized and stocked, assembling and dismantling instruments where necessary.
• Aids in the research and development of new methods and exploratory claims substantiation.
• Analyzes consumer insights and survey data to draw conclusions on new claims language and trends.
• Maintains and stores internal documentation to company database.
