About The Position

This role involves working alongside an advisor team to service clients and their families, providing comprehensive personal financial planning, investment planning, and tax services to corporate employees, executives, and other high-net worth individuals. The position requires implementing complex investment strategies, overseeing new account opening, funding, asset transfers, and account maintenance while ensuring compliance with client risk profiles and investment objectives. Responsibilities also include preparing income tax returns, interfacing with third-party tax preparers, and monitoring client tax payment obligations. The role demands preparing various reports and analyses for clients on topics such as personal financial statements, cash flow planning, income tax projections, insurance reviews, investment allocation, investment performance, estate document reviews, and estate flowcharts. Building trust and rapport with clients through phone and in-person interactions, asking open-ended questions, and using inclusive language are key to forming long-term relationships. Extensive telephone and face-to-face interaction with clients and their outside advisors is necessary for information gathering, onboarding new clients, ensuring a seamless client experience, and supporting the advisor team. The role also includes assisting the team in documenting client files and conducting individual research on client financial planning questions using internal resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role.
  • Two (2) years of experience working with clients to determine their current income, expenses, insurance coverage, tax status, financial objectives, risk tolerance or other relevant information needed to develop a financial plan.
  • Two (2) years of experience with tax projections and reviewing withholding and payments for completeness and accuracy.
  • Two (2) years of experience with financial products including stocks, bonds, mutual funds, ETFs, Equity Awards, and insurance.
  • Two (2) years of experience developing and supporting solutions for client needs in estate planning, taxes, investments, insurance, cash flow management, and risk management.
  • Two (2) years of experience applying knowledge of U.S. income tax rules while assisting with individual income tax return preparation process for high-net-worth individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with client’s risk profile and investment objectives.
  • Prepare income tax returns for clients.
  • Interface with third party tax preparers and monitor client tax payment obligations.
  • Prepare various reports and analyses for clients in the areas of personal financial statements, cash flow planning, income tax projections, insurance reviews, investment allocation, investment performance, estate document reviews, estate flowcharts, etc.
  • Establish trust and rapport with clients over the phone and in person by asking open-ended questions and using inclusive language.
  • Form long-term relationships with clients.
  • Conduct extensive telephone contact and/or face-to-face interaction with clients, and their outside advisors, to obtain information, onboard new clients, ensure a seamless client experience, and help the advisor team provide advice.
  • Assist the team in documenting the client file to ensure all communication and client service is well documented.
  • Conduct individual research on client’s financial planning questions using internal resources.
