About The Position

The Associate Sales Manager is a division-based leadership position that will include direct reports and leadership responsibilities. This position will serve our Bar and Engineered Bar Groups. The position is a developmental position for future Sales Managers and can be located at any number of Nucor locations within the Bar/EBG groups. Candidates must be willing to relocate for future advancement positions within Nucor. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

  • 5 years combined experience in commercial, sales, and/or marketing.
  • Previous leadership experience

Responsibilities

  • Become embedded with the division leadership team in achieving business, safety, and profit objectives.
  • Model commercial excellence while consistently driving Value Based Selling.
  • Lead, model, nurture, and advance the Nucor culture.
  • Work closely with group sales leadership to drive safety, profitability, volume and order management.
  • Lead a group of direct reports as assigned by the division.
  • Coordinate with DSMs in executing commercial strategy.
  • Support the group sales team in development and execution of the commercial strategy with specific accounts and objectives as assigned.
  • Develop effective strategies on strategic customers and markets.
  • Participate in coaching and development of sales teammates to build the talent bench.
