About The Position

The Associate Sales Manager is a division-based leadership position that will include direct reports and leadership responsibilities. This position will serve our Bar and Engineered Bar Groups. Nucor is North America's largest steel and steel products manufacturer, known for its innovative sustainability practices and being the continent's largest recycler. This role is a developmental position for future Sales Managers and can be located at any number of Nucor locations within the Bar/EBG groups. Candidates must be willing to relocate for future advancement positions within Nucor. Safety is paramount in all roles at Nucor.

Requirements

  • 5 years combined experience in commercial, sales, and/or marketing.
  • Previous leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Become embedded with the division leadership team in achieving business, safety, and profit objectives.
  • Model commercial excellence while consistently driving Value Based Selling.
  • Lead, model, nurture, and advance the Nucor culture.
  • Work closely with group sales leadership to drive safety, profitability, volume and order management.
  • Lead a group of direct reports as assigned by the division.
  • Coordinate with DSMs in executing commercial strategy.
  • Support the group sales team in development and execution of the commercial strategy with specific accounts and objectives as assigned.
  • Develop effective strategies on strategic customers and markets.
  • Participate in coaching and development of sales teammates to build the talent bench.
  • Initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
