About The Position

AAA Club Alliance is seeking enthusiastic, sales-driven individuals to join their dynamic sales team as an Associate Retail Travel Agent. This role involves helping clients create unforgettable domestic and international travel experiences, including cruises, land tours, flights, and hotels. The ideal candidate will leverage personal travel experiences to inspire clients, build long-term relationships, and utilize AAA’s established travel strategy to achieve sales goals. Responsibilities also include processing bookings, payments, and travel documentation in compliance with ARC, DOT, and AAA policies, educating clients on AAA benefits, and resolving client concerns under management guidance. The position offers a clear path for career growth, with opportunities to advance to a Travel Agent and then Senior Travel Agent role through structured training, mentorship, and required certification. AAA has been a travel expert for over 100 years, evolving to meet modern travelers' needs, and is committed to providing world-class service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of retail experience
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational ability
  • Proficiency with travel booking systems and web-based applications
  • Working knowledge of geography
  • Certified Travel Associate (CTA) designation required within 2 years of hire (company covers cost and provides paid time)
  • Satisfactory pre-employment and post-employment screening results including criminal, drug, and state and/or vendor specific screenings
  • Ability to obtain necessary Membership license (or others) as required to perform the essential functions of the position

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or travel school graduate
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a retail/leisure travel agent (or other comparable travel experience)

  • Attend promotional events, training, and familiarization trips to stay ahead in the industry
