About The Position

The Department of Anesthesiology at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center (SFMC), an affiliate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria (UICOMP), is seeking board-certified/board-eligible candidates for a new residency program. The Associate Program Director will collaborate with the Program Director to coordinate and manage the monthly didactic curriculum, ensuring it is high-yield, board-relevant, and engaging. This role supports resident development and adheres to ACGME standards. Responsibilities include assisting with annual program evaluation and recruitment, participating in CCC and PEC meetings, and mentoring residents. The Associate Program Director will also help foster a culture of educational excellence, professionalism, and wellness, and support faculty development in teaching and educational innovation. OSF SFMC is a large quaternary hospital and the largest Level-I trauma center for adults and children between Chicago and St. Louis.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree.
  • Physician Licensed to practice medicine in current state.
  • Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty(ies).
  • Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
  • Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
  • Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
