Associate Relationship Banker - Carmel By The Sea Branch - Carmel, CA
About The Position
As an Associate Relationship Banker in a Chase branch, you represent the brand and culture through welcoming, attentive service and financial technology. You assist clients who visit the branch, draw on your financial knowledge to offer thoughtful solutions for their needs, and contribute to the branch’s success. You build lasting client relationships by providing consultative service, helping clients use digital banking solutions, and connecting them with specialists when needed. This position is subject to Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators and requires NMLS registration under the SAFE Act. Employment is contingent on the relevant background and financial-responsibility reviews and compliance with registration, renewal, and update requirements. The position is also subject to Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act and the associated review of criminal conviction history.
Requirements
- Ability to create memorable client experiences and elevate the client experience.
- Excellent in-person and telephone communication skills, including the ability to tailor product and service features and benefits to clients with differing needs.
- Ability to resolve client issues quickly and effectively with attention to detail.
- Ability to operate within established risk parameters and meet internal and external risk and compliance obligations, including completing required training.
- High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
- Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.
- Must comply with applicable Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act Loan Originator requirements.
- Must register or update registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry under the SAFE Act, and complete required annual renewals and updates.
- Subject to Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act and review of criminal conviction history.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of sales experience in Retail, Financial Services, or a related industry, with demonstrated success establishing new clients, deepening relationships, and delivering results.
- College degree or military equivalent.
- Experience adhering to banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Deliver attentive, friendly service and create a welcoming environment that exceeds client expectations.
- Communicate clearly and politely in a consultative manner; ask questions, listen, anticipate client needs, and build trust.
- Assist walk-in and scheduled clients in person and by phone, understand their financial needs, and tailor product and service recommendations.
- Educate clients about and connect them with technology solutions, including the Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, and ATMs.
- Learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately to consult with clients about banking solutions.
- Collaborate with and connect clients to team members who can assist with specialized financial needs.
- Follow policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
