Associate Relationship Banker - Carmel Valley Branch - Carmel, CA
About The Position
As an Associate Relationship Banker in a Chase Branch, you represent the Chase brand and culture by providing welcoming, attentive service and using banking solutions and financial technology to help clients address their financial needs. You assist walk-in and scheduled clients, build lasting relationships, make thoughtful product and service recommendations, and connect clients with technology and specialized financial resources. The role requires adherence to banking policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and applicable risk and compliance obligations. The position is subject to Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act loan-originator qualification requirements, NMLS registration under the SAFE Act, and Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
Requirements
- Ability to create memorable client experiences and elevate the client experience.
- Excellent in-person and telephone communication skills, including the ability to tailor product and service features and benefits to clients with differing needs.
- Ability to resolve client issues quickly and effectively with attention to detail.
- Ability to meet risk and compliance obligations and complete required training.
- High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
- Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.
- Upon active employment, register with or update the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) as required under the SAFE Act; continued employment is contingent on compliance, including successful registration immediately after the start date and timely annual renewal and updates.
- Meet applicable Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act Loan Originator qualification requirements. Employment offer is contingent on JPMC review of criminal conviction history, credit report, NMLS information, and other relevant information; a felony conviction within the last seven years disqualifies candidates.
- Meet applicable Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act requirements; employment offer is contingent on JPMorganChase review of criminal conviction history, including pretrial diversions or program entries.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of sales experience in Retail, Financial Services, or related industries, with success establishing new clients, deepening relationships, and delivering results.
- College degree or military equivalent.
- Experience adhering to banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities

- Educate and connect clients to technology solutions, including the Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, and ATMs.
- Learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately to consult with clients about banking solutions.
- Collaborate with and connect clients to team experts for specialized financial needs.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
- Operate within established risk parameters and meet internal and external risk and compliance obligations, including completing required training.
