This position provides leadership to plan, implement, and analyze technology solutions that support the delivery of quality student services. The Associate Registrar participates in system projects by providing business-specific knowledge, defining requirements, investigating technology solutions, and leading and participating in implementations. This position collaborates with IT to troubleshoot problems and develop business processes that maximize efficiencies and promote a positive user experience for students, faculty, and the campus community. The Associate Registrar designs and produces reports for internal and external stakeholders, provides data analysis, uses data to inform decision-making, and is responsible for state and federal reporting functions of the Registrar’s Office. This position is responsible for developing systems to effectively manage academic records and student information while promoting the goals of the department and the mission of the College. As part of the management team in the Registrar’s Office, the Associate Registrar provides staff supervision and training, and performs all tasks as needed related to maintenance of student records, including course registration. The Associate Registrar serves as both a technical and functional user liaison for the Registrar’s Office to various stakeholder groups including IT, Institutional Research, Skyhawk Station, Advising, and outside agencies and vendors. The Associate Registrar must understand the dependencies and ensure integration between all modules within the Student Information System (SIS), such as Admission, Student Accounting, and Financial Aid. A knowledge of all applications used by the Registrar’s Office and an understanding of their relationships to other systems used throughout the College is critical.
