About The Position

As an Associate, you’ll support the property tax appeals process by assisting with property reviews, conducting research, analyzing valuations, and preparing appeal documentation. Working alongside experienced team members, you’ll help identify tax-saving opportunities for clients while developing expertise in property tax consulting. In this role, you’ll build a strong foundation in property tax law, valuation analysis, and client service. You’ll collaborate with colleagues across the firm, contribute to successful client outcomes and gain hands-on experience with assessment appeals and related processes. This position is ideal for an early-career professional who is analytical, detail oriented, and eager to grow in the property tax field.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, accounting, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Minimum 2-5 years experience in property tax consulting, real estate, or a related field.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of property tax laws, valuation methodologies, and appeal processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and property data.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to clients.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in [relevant software/tools, e.g., property tax management systems, MS Office Suite].
  • Certification as a Property Tax Consultant (CPTC) or related credential is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with property tax assessments and reviews to identify potential tax savings opportunities.
  • Analyze property tax valuations and assessment data to identify inconsistencies or areas for appeal.
  • Support the preparation and filing of property tax appeals, including gathering documentation and assisting with case development.
  • Conduct research on property tax laws, regulations, and market trends to support client engagements.
  • Collaborate with clients to collect and organize property records, valuation information, and other supporting documentation.
  • Prepare reports, summaries, and client-facing materials outlining findings and recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate case files and ensure deadlines and filing requirements are met.
  • Work closely with senior team members on assessment appeals and other client projects while developing technical knowledge and professional skills.
  • Build positive client relationships through responsive communication and high-quality work.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented culture focused on delivering exceptional client service.
