About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Associate Quality Systems Specialist to join their team in Huntsville, AL. This role involves assisting in the review of proposals, contracts, regulatory, program, and customer requirements to prepare quality assurance plans and tests for hardware and software products, processes, and services. The specialist will maintain Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures, and metrics to ensure compliance with program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards, and working agreements. Key responsibilities include collecting and verifying data for root cause analysis, contributing ideas for corrective action, and supporting quality source selection and supplier process reviews. The position also entails assisting with hardware, software, and system-level audits to ensure adherence to quality management system standards and documenting audit results. The specialist will compile data and provide recommendations for material review disposition, working under general supervision.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment
  • 1+ years of experience working in Non-Conformance (NCR) processes
  • 1+ years of experience in Quality Management System (QMS)
  • 1+ years of experience gathering data and performing a Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)

Responsibilities

  • Provides ideas and concepts for corrective action development
  • Supports quality source selection and process reviews of suppliers' ability to meet program quality requirements
  • Assists with hardware, software and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements
  • Documents audit results in standard formats
  • Compiles data and provides recommendations for material review disposition
