About The Position

The Associate Quality Engineer will be part of the Quality Engineering team, responsible for supporting program and functional quality. This role involves interfacing with Production, Program Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering personnel, and driving continuous improvement through audits and corrective actions. The primary goal is to ensure product and process excellence, lead root-cause investigations, and champion quality improvements across the program.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college with 1+ years of experience.
Must be able to obtain a security clearance and must have at least an interim secret clearance.
Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) background check to obtain approval to be an "employee possessor" (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Nice To Haves

Minimum 3.0 GPA
Mechanical or industrial engineering degree. Or Engineering degree in related, technical field.
VBA coding skills (Excel)
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
Quality discipline internship or DoD industry internship.
Ability to work with a team in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

Interface with Production, Program Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering teams.
Investigate non-conformance issues and develop corrective actions.
Conduct hardware quality audits, FOE walk-downs, and surveillance assessments.
Lead root-cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
Support continuous improvement through audits and process reviews.
