About The Position

As an Associate Project Manager, you will manage project lifecycles from inception to close including resource scheduling, logistic coordination, cost accounting, invoicing and follow-up for small to mid-size internal and external customers. The essential functions of this position include running small to mid-size projects from initial Statement of Work (SOW) to completion, entering quotes and orders into Professional Services Automation tools, and working with Sales and Engineering teams to ensure all project-related documents are properly completed. You will also create vendor purchase orders, process invoices for payment, and define resource requirements, prioritize and develop schedules with internal constituents and customers. Planning and scheduling project deliverables, goals, and milestones, managing all project communication with customers and Account Managers, and conducting regular project status meetings or calls are key responsibilities. You will be expected to efficiently identify and solve project issues, keep management informed of any project-related issues, and manage the day-to-day operational aspects and scope of a project. Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, reviewing deliverables, applying ePlus project management methodology, and minimizing exposure and risk are also crucial. Additionally, you will manage project budgets and forecasting, track and report team hours and expenses weekly, ensure project legal documents are completed and signed, and obtain project completion signatures for timely invoicing. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in an operations or project management role in an IT environment
  • Proven history delivering small and mid-size projects with hands-on project management experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional demeanor and good communication skills
  • Knowledge of project management methodology

Nice To Haves

  • Desire to achieve CAPM or PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project preferred

Responsibilities

  • Run small to mid-size projects from initial Statement of Work (SOW) to completion
  • Enter quotes and orders into Professional Services Automation tools
  • Work with the Sales and Engineering teams to ensure that all project related documents, including Statements of Work, customer purchase orders, timesheets and job costing documents are properly completed
  • Create vendor purchase orders and process invoices for payment

  • Manage all project communication with customers and Account Managers
  • Conduct regular face-to-face project status meetings or conference calls with customers

  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to client
  • Effectively apply ePlus project management methodology and enforce project standards
