About The Position

Pro Tech Mechanical, a Crete United Company, is seeking an Associate Project Manager to support our growing team and help drive the successful execution of commercial and industrial HVAC/MEP projects. This role is ideal for someone looking to continue developing their project management experience while working alongside experienced leaders in the mechanical construction industry. The Associate Project Manager will assist in planning, coordinating, and supporting commercial and industrial mechanical projects from kickoff through completion. This role will partner closely with senior project leadership to ensure projects stay on schedule, within budget, and aligned with company and client expectations. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, eager to learn, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Valid Driver’s License required

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in Commercial HVAC, Mechanical, Construction, or MEP project coordination/management preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with scheduling, procurement, project coordination, estimating, or construction administration is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential and ability to work within a team environment.
  • General knowledge of Commercial Construction, HVAC, Chillers, Boilers, or Mechanical Systems preferred.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, and coordination to ensure successful project execution.
  • Support project financial tracking, including budgets, billing, forecasting, cost management, and vendor coordination.
  • Maintain daily communication with internal teams including Project Managers, Accounting, Purchasing, Construction, and Leadership.
  • Coordinate with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, inspectors, vendors, and clients throughout project lifecycles.
  • Help manage project documentation, contracts, and reporting to maintain organization and compliance.
  • Support the preparation and management of change orders and project scope modifications.
  • Assist in tracking material procurement and subcontractor purchase orders to ensure schedule and budget alignment.
  • Monitor project progress and help identify risks, delays, or challenges while supporting mitigation efforts.
  • Ensure project management procedures and documentation standards are followed.
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture through effective communication and collaboration across departments.
