We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Project Manager to join the Active Implantable Systems Technical Communications team. The department is responsible for designing primary product labeling that provides physicians, medical professionals and patients with the information necessary for the safe and effective use of medical devices. In this role, you will collaborate across functions to lead activities and projects critical to regulated product labeling. You will help develop labeling strategies, coordinate project execution and bring together subject matter experts to deliver high-quality technical communications throughout the product development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years' project management experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or significant progress toward PMP certification.
  • Experience with project management tools and techniques.
  • Experience working within a medical device company.
  • Experience with medical device literature and labeling.

Responsibilities

  • Manage key project activities across initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closing; develop and implement project plans and build team ownership and commitment to successful execution.
  • Develop labeling strategies based on regulatory, marketing and technical requirements and product features. Partner with the Technical Communications team to identify and mitigate technical challenges associated with deliverables.
  • Lead teams in completing activities in accordance with established policies and practices to produce and release Technical Communications deliverables supporting sustaining and new product development projects from concept through implementation.
  • Lead small, cross-functional development teams and provide input to functional managers regarding team and individual performance.
  • Manage team and cross-functional communications and serve as the primary liaison between the Technical Communications team and project core teams.
  • Lead phase and business reviews and manage project meeting minutes, issue logs, metrics and other key project communications.
  • Learn, understand and apply Technical Communications processes and tools to develop effective strategies based on the unique requirements of each project.
  • Lead problem-solving efforts and adapt project strategies in response to challenges and changes throughout the research and development process.
  • Drive collaboration within the Technical Communications team and across a broad group of subject matter experts.
  • Prioritize and manage activities among team members and project interfaces to support successful project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and provide clear, consistent project status updates to stakeholders.
  • Partner with peers and managers to improve department processes, increase efficiency and support continuous improvement.
