About The Position

JLL's Project & Development Services (“PDS”) group is seeking an Associate Project Manager to support the project team in the Toronto area. We will rely upon your experience working with Project Managers to support the team in managing construction projects. Your adaptability and expertise will be key in delivering successful outcomes across diverse project types and different sectors and contributing to JLL's reputation as an industry leader in PDS.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience delivering new build and renovation projects.
  • Interpersonal, articulate, responsive, and highly organized.
  • Engineering, Architecture, or similarly applicable degree.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or working towards your designation is an asset.
  • LEED Certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support SPMs/PMs projects from concept to handover.
  • Proactively communicate with your SPM/PM.
  • Manage multiple projects across various clients with a focus on Corporate Interior Fitouts, Hotels & Hospitality, Education, Industrial, and Data Center projects.
  • Maintain and achieve project goals and criteria to satisfy client expectations.
  • Complete projects within scope, schedule, budget, and the client’s changing needs.
  • Coordinate the activities of owners, consultants, contractors, suppliers, AHJs, operators, and stakeholders.
  • Document and control project scope and changes to the specified level of quality.
  • Maintain a project control budget and baseline schedule aligned to scope; control cost and schedule.
  • Monitor and update a Risk Management Plan and mitigate project risks.
  • Attend project meetings and generate meeting minutes.
  • Assist PM with weekly flash reports and monthly progress reports.
  • Support procuring and monitoring adherence of parties to their contracts.
  • Implement PM software, leveraging JLL technology solutions whenever possible.
  • Maintain complete and accurate project documentation, easily retrievable and suitable for audit.
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve to ensure there are “no project surprises.
  • Adhere to JLL PDS expectations, policies, best practices, procedures, and methodologies.
  • Foster an ethical environment of accountability, excellence, inclusivity, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Support JLL’s project team to exceed our financial performance and client satisfaction targets.
  • Manage invoice distribution and ensure AR collections within the contracted timelines.
  • Forecast project resource needs.
  • Ensure file structures are in place and project documents are properly managed.
  • Fully and accurately inform SPM/PM of project issues that could affect PDS’ project targets and reputation.
  • Work with owners, landlords, tenants, developers, institutions, architects, engineers, and contractors.
  • Build rapport with key client project representatives.
  • Cultivate new and existing business relationships.
  • Obtain client referrals and testimonials.
  • Support the SPM/PM to pursue and secure new business.
  • Position JLL as a leader in project development services.
  • Market available JLL products and service offerings.
  • Create project case studies at or near project completion.
