About The Position
AspenTech is a global software leader whose Digital Grid Management software suite helps power and utilities companies control, optimize, and manage complex energy networks. The Associate Project Engineer designs and delivers AspenTech control systems and provides ongoing customer support to help ensure reliable performance and customer satisfaction. The role involves project work spanning customer requirements, system design, installation, integration, testing, commissioning, and support, as well as technical sales assistance and documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, systems engineering, or a related field.
- Internship experience.
- Basic knowledge of computer programming, including at minimum an introduction to C programming.
- Basic knowledge of computer architecture, networking, databases, and operating systems.
- Ability and flexibility to travel to domestic and international customer sites.

Responsibilities
- Design, plan, integrate, test, and commission hardware and software requirements on customer systems.
- Provide technical sales support for real-time control system power applications, including sales presentations and product demonstrations.
- Define project requirements through customer communication and communicate requirements to other departments as needed.
- Provide networking and system/application design.
- Install, integrate, and test hardware, software, and systems for projects.
- Customize system, hardware, and network configurations based on customer requirements.
- Provide customer support and assistance under contract maintenance and warranty arrangements.
- Assist in creating training materials and project documentation as needed.
