About The Position

New Horizons is seeking an Associate Director to manage employees across 16 counties served by the organization. This role involves collaborating with the Director and Managers to ensure program compliance and regulatory adherence. The Associate Director will also be responsible for training staff to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving their personal goals. This includes teaching skills in a supportive environment to promote full community participation. Key responsibilities include providing direct assistance in areas such as Workplace Readiness, Self-Advocacy, Job Exploration, Counseling on Post-Secondary Education, and Work-Based learning within community employment settings. A crucial aspect of this role is the ability to lead, motivate, and support the team to achieve improved employment outcomes for the individuals served.

Requirements

  • Eighteen (18) Years of Age or older
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Extensive Travel Required to schools in 16 counties
  • Drug Test required
  • Background report and driving record required
  • TB test required

Nice To Haves

  • Some college preferred
  • Experiences working with individuals with disabilities is helpful
  • One-year supervisory experience preferred
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Able to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees

Responsibilities

  • Oversee employees in schools across 16 counties.
  • Work with the Director and Managers to ensure program compliance and regulatory requirements are met.
