About The Position

This is a grant-funded position for an Associate Professor in the Nursing Department, located at the Lebanon Campus, with potential travel to the Claremont campus. The role involves educating students in the nursing program, coordinating departmental initiatives, and supporting the Rural Health Transformation Grant (RHT). The position is contingent upon renewed grant funding through September 30, 2031.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university with a major study in the nursing field.
Possession of a Master’s degree in Education shall require twelve (12) graduate credits in a subject area closely related to the teaching assignment and a Bachelor’s degree in a Nursing.
Five (5) years of teaching experience in Nursing, or five (5) years of business or industry experience directly related to Nursing.
Must possess current or active Registered Nurse license in New Hampshire.
Must meet the continuing education requirements by the Board of Nursing to maintain continuing licensure.
Eligibility for employment requires residency within a New England state (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island).

Responsibilities

Assists Department Chair as needed to address and resolve any grant-related issues, communicating when required to the CCSNH Director of Workforce Development and the Rural Health Transformation (RHT) Grant Manager.
Supports Department Chair and participates as needed in statewide, regional, and Federal RHT related conferences, seminars, or meetings to ensure programmatic efforts are aligned with best practices and evidence-based models for RHT.
Teaches an assigned academic course schedule in a classroom, laboratory, and/or clinic /field experience setting as appropriate for the RN nursing program.
Demonstrates teaching effectiveness through the development of instructional materials that comply with established course content, integrate theory with applications, clearly define course goals, observe program and institutional accreditation standards, promote critical thinking and life skills, and respond to diverse academic needs.
Maintains accessibility and availability to assist students with their learning needs and advises individuals or groups of students in academic matters relevant to the academic area of specialization.
Supervises student learning activities and academic progress; maintains accurate records of student progress and accomplishments.
Collaborates with other faculty in the department to develop credit and non-credit programs and/or courses, sharing teaching and learning methodologies with peers, serving as an academic resource in area of expertise.
Maintain educational equipment and spaces, and requisition instructional resources, equipment, supplies or classroom materials.
Assists in the planning, development, and implementation of college sponsored recruitment and retention activities including job fairs, student orientations and award ceremonies.
Engages in professional activities related to the area of teaching specialization that partner the college with the wider community by serving on college or system teams, or participating in community-sponsored events, as assigned.
Utilizes appropriate instructional and administrative technologies as required for teaching effectiveness and college operations/communications.
Remains technologically and pedagogically current within the field of Nursing through participation in relevant professional associations and educational and training activities.
Observes all academic policies and procedures and institutional rules and regulations and demonstrates ethical and professional behavior.
Serves on college or system teams, or participates in community-sponsored events, as assigned.
Attend nursing faculty meetings in Claremont and/or in Keene.
Complies with all college, system, state and federal rules and regulations.
Other duties as assigned.
