About The Position

The Department of Special Education and Literacy Studies at the College of Education is seeking to hire an Associate Professor with Tenure in the School Psychology program. This position is tenure-track and will contribute to the program's mission of preparing responsive and ethical practitioners and scholars. The successful candidate will be expected to teach graduate and undergraduate courses, conduct and publish research, mentor graduate students, and contribute to the department and university through service.

Requirements

  • Earned doctoral degree in developmental psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Expertise in measurement and assessment in preK-12 education.
  • Expertise in quantitative research methodology.
  • Minimum of three years of teaching graduate and undergraduate students in higher education.
  • Evidence of a clear and sustained record of published research and external funding in School Psychology or closely related area.
  • Commitment to responsive and ethical practice and excellence in graduate preparation.
  • Evidence of success in prior graduate instruction and graduate student mentoring at the masters and doctoral level.

Responsibilities

  • Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in School Psychology and related areas.
  • Conduct and publish high-quality research in School Psychology or closely related fields.
  • Mentor Master's and Doctoral students in their academic and research endeavors.
  • Seek and secure external funding for research projects.
  • Engage in service activities within the department, college, and university.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of the School Psychology program.
