About The Position
The Program Director for the Master of Science in Counseling with a Concentration in Art Therapy provides academic and administrative leadership for a newly developing graduate program within the College of Health Professions at MUSC. This role is responsible for overseeing program development, curriculum design, accreditation planning, faculty leadership, student success initiatives, and continuous program assessment. The position also includes graduate-level teaching, clinical supervision, scholarly activity, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to support excellence in counseling and art therapy education.
Requirements
- Doctoral-level training
- Professional licensure
- Certification sufficient to meet current and emerging accreditation, state licensure, and clinical supervision standards for both counseling and art therapy.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing program development, curriculum design, accreditation planning, faculty leadership, student success initiatives, and continuous program assessment.
- Graduate-level teaching, clinical supervision, scholarly activity, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to support excellence in counseling and art therapy education.
