About The Position

Northrop Grumman Armament Systems is seeking an Associate Production Planner and Scheduler for its Mesa, Arizona facility. This onsite role supports the second shift on a Monday–Thursday 4x10 schedule, from 2:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. The position represents Production Control on the manufacturing floor and serves as a liaison among the warehouse, operations, and production control. It works with teams across the Guns Production Range campus to coordinate materials and support production.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and zero years of experience, or four years of related production planning and scheduling experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of MRP.
• Excellent math and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Costpoint and MES.
• Bachelor's degree in a business field, preferably supply chain, and one year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate material delivery to the manufacturing floor in support of the MPS.
• Manage and coordinate factory material needs to keep production moving and support organizational goals.
• Collaborate with each program Production Control Scheduler to resolve manufacturing order delays and support program builds.
• Finalize product staging and accurately queue the production plan to support on-time manufacturing order starts.
• Resolve MES and Costpoint issues on behalf of the Production Control team.
• Maintain COTS material forward stock on the floor for manufacturing incidentals.
• Monitor builds through the factory and take or escalate appropriate actions to prevent production line-down scenarios.
• Prioritize and expedite incoming material as needed to ensure it is inspected, accepted, and placed into inventory to fulfill manufacturing requirements.
• Coordinate interdepartmental activity with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, Inventory Control, Traffic, and Contract Administration.
• Schedule and expedite the movement of parts using move orders, stock transfers, and requests for shipping orders.
