Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Building Materials, Construction, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years’ management experience.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills. Able to drive individual and team performance towards a common goal.
  • Strong familiarity with (or a desire to learn and master) the principles of Lean Production, Six Sigma, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) as well as strong interpersonal and relationship skills.
  • Able to effectively assess customer project and installation needs and to provide proactive solutions.
  • Strong computer proficiency with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Able to function effectively as part of a high-performance team.
  • Ability to achieve performance objectives in a time-sensitive and quality-centered environment.
  • Quantitative skills such as basic business accounting, etc.
  • Strong systems and safety orientation.
  • Demonstrate initiative and reliability with minimal supervision.
  • Drive company vehicles such as pickup trucks and box trucks up to 28'.
  • Drive a warehouse PIT style forklift.
  • Know and understand local insulation codes and how to install insulation.

Responsibilities

  • Visualize and implement Company vision and core values.
  • Set department goals, monitor labor productivity, and optimize department financial performance.
  • Establish and drive compliance with standard operating procedures and installation guidelines.
  • Supervise installation labor to fulfill customer and department interests.
  • Train and develop installers to ensure optimal project quality and efficiency.
  • Optimize installation processes and workflows according to industry best practices.
  • Communicate with sales team to coordinate installation schedules and ensure on time completion of all projects.
  • Ensure each finished job is executed according to scope-of-work requirements and is of the highest quality.
  • Ensure the creation and maintenance of a safe working environment, identifying and addressing potential safety concerns and work hazards.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook, etc.
  • Manage inventory and warehouse.
  • Coordinate with installers to provide daily work orders and assist with daily preparations to get installers out to their jobs in an efficient manner.
  • Manage vehicles and equipment in accordance with Company policy and standards.
  • Perform other duties as required.
