About The Position

Gutor Electronic Americas LLC seeks a Field Service Engineer at its facility located at 6360 W Sam Houston Parkway, Houston, TX 77041. This role involves performing services on customer sites, including installation supervision, commissioning, preventive and corrective maintenance, and modification of Gutor UPS systems and batteries. The engineer will work on both onshore and offshore sites, including nuclear facilities, and will be in direct contact with the customer. This position acts as a liaison between the customer and Gutor’s technical and commercial Customer Service teams, providing after-sales support for Gutor equipment as part of the OEM service team. Responsibilities include commissioning, repairing, and maintaining Gutor equipment, as well as overseeing the work of third-party personnel across multiple client locations throughout North and South America. The role also involves promoting Gutor services and products in the field to generate sales through FSE Leads and ensuring all work is completed safely, with responsibility for onsite safety and the protection of property. Approximately 75% domestic and international travel is required to various unanticipated worksite locations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience as an Electrical Technician in field services or related occupation.
  • Employment experience working with multiple units simultaneously, including Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS), SDC, Modulars, PXP, and Batteries to ensure unit is operating as designed and ensuring efficient coordination and performance.
  • Employment experience training engineers to troubleshoot and perform battery maintenance, repairs, system upgrades, and parts replacements.
  • Employment experience leveraging knowledge of electronic theory to perform regular safety procedures to operate the unit including trouble shooting, alerts, and part replacement.
  • Employment experience utilizing safety protocols including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), PPE usage, risk assessment, tools handling, environmental awareness, and safety recommendations to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Employment experience handling and maintaining various UPS systems through multiple services stages; performing maintenance, managing spare parts, extending equipment life, trouble shooting, and providing training to customers.
  • Employment experience providing round the clock technical support, analyzing complex situations and delivering effective remote solutions to resolve incidents promptly.

Responsibilities

  • Provide services focused on after-sales support for Gutor equipment as part of the OEM service team.
  • Commission, repair, and maintain Gutor equipment, as well as oversee the work conducted by third-party personnel across multiple client locations throughout North and South America.
  • Promote all Gutor services and product to customer on the field generating sales through FSE Leads.
  • Complete work in safe manner, in charge for safety onsite, making sure that nobody & no properties are endangered.
